Why does the hose behind the dryer keep crushing?
Measure the gap before you blame the hose. Pull the dryer out and look at the wall stub height. If the stub sits low and the dryer port sits high, the connector has to loop. That loop is what crushes. Stacked-closet laundry in Heights townhomes does this constantly. So do Memorial-era ranch utility rooms where the washer box was added later and bumped the dryer forward.

Relocate the wall stub if the framing allows it. Check the roof cap last, since a pollen-bonded cap pushes back pressure onto the new connector and crushes it again.
If the dryer still will not sit flush after the fitting swap, the cabinet depth is wrong, not the duct.
